In the central part of Söderhamn’s archipelago lies Enskär, an island known for its beautiful shallow sandy beaches, perfect for day trips and overnight stays in family-friendly rental cabins. You can reach Enskär by boat taxi or dock your own boat at the island’s popular guest pier to experience this archipelago gem.
The rental cabins, located near a small, popular sandy beach, come with an adjacent guest pier. Just a few meters from the sea, you’ll find a wood-fired sauna, a heated shower, and a barbecue area. It’s an ideal spot for a vacation atmosphere and family relaxation.
Enskär provided us with wonderful and relaxing days with family and friends, good weather, sauna, and sea swims. Our sixteenth year in a row – and surely more to come," says the R family in 2022.
If you want to explore more, there are great trails to discover larger parts of the island. These paths lead to several shallow beaches, and you can also wade over to the islands of Korsmäss or Enskärsoren. M/S Moa, a day tour boat, offers trips with bathers from Söderhamn to Enskärsoren, where you can enjoy onboard light refreshments, coffee, and ice cream.
On the popular island of Enskär, just a short boat ride from the mainland, you’ll find easy access to swimming spots and boating life. The rental cabins, located near a small sandy beach, are equipped with a wood-fired sauna, shower, and barbecue area, perfect for creating that vacation feeling and family fun.
Enskär offers three cottages, each with six beds and around 25 square meters of space. All cottages are equipped with electricity and lighting.

Each cabin is equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable self-catering stay. You can prepare your own meals using the kitchenette, which includes a microwave and coffee maker. As a guest, you are responsible for household chores and cleaning during your stay.

Booking
The archipelago cottages on Enskär can be booked online.
Check-out time for the cottage is 12:00 noon.
Cottage keys and linens
If you're taking the boat taxi, you’ll receive your cottage key and pre-booked linen set onboard during departure.
If you're traveling with your own boat, collect your key and linen at the reception at Stenö Beach & Camping.

Arriving with your own boat
Enskär is easy to reach by boat. The route is mostly within the inner archipelago, offering a relatively sheltered trip with minimal waves.
Boat taxi
No boat of your own? No problem – our archipelago is accessible by boat taxi.
The boat taxi can be booked at the same time as your cabin reservation. It departs from Stenö Guest Harbour, located near the parking area at Stenö Beach & Camping. There is a designated loading zone and a luggage cart available.
Other boat transport options to Enskär may also be available.
